Chopped strand mat 450gsm: High tensile strength, suitable for use in hand lay-up process to produce large-area parts; Good wet-through and fast wet-out in resins, rapid air lease; High mechanical strength; Superior acid corrosion resistance, Fiberglass mat is compatible with unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy and phenolic resins. It is designed for use in hand lay-up, filament winding, compression molding and continuous laminating processes. Its end-use applications include boats, bath equipment, automotive parts, chemical corrosion resistant pipes, tanks, cooling towers and building components.
High Strength Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat for Military Product Introduction:
Chopped Strand Mat (CSM) is a random fiber mat that provides equal strength in all directions and is used in a variety of hand lay-up and open-mold applications. Chopped strand mat is produced by chopping continuous strand roving into short 1.5 to 3 inch lengths and dispersing the cut fibers randomly over a moving belt to from a "sheet" of random fiber mat. A binder is applied to hold the fibers together and the mat is trimmed and rolled. Because of is random fiber orientation, chopped strand mat conforms easily to complex shapes when wet-out with polyester or vinyl ester resins. Chopped strand mats are available as a roll stock product produced in a variety of weights and widths to suite specific applications.

High Strength Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat for Military Packing & Storage:
Roll width: Standard width is 1040mm and 1250mm. Other width available upon request.
Packing: The product is wound tightly into a roll on a paper core. Each roll is wrapped into a plastic bag and placed in a carton box.
Storage condition: Unless otherwise specified, it is recommended to store fiberglass chopped strand mat in a cool and dry condition. The product must remain in packaging material until just prior to its use.
